NHCA Terms and Conditions

1. FEES
a) The Academy reserves the right to refuse to allow pupil to attend the Academy while fees remain unpaid. The Academy also has the right to terminate a child’s place if they have reasonable doubt or evidence that fees will not be paid. Until that point all fees due are legally payable to the school and any deposit will be forfeited.
b) School Fees are payable on the 1st of each month for 12 equal months by Direct debit only. Late School Fees will incur charges. If fees are still outstanding by the 20th of that month the Academy reserves the right to terminate a child’s placement at the Academy and parents shall not be entitled to any refund of the fees due or already paid. Nor shall any refund be due for absence due to illness.
c) The Academy reserves the right to fix the School fee for a term at any time up to the last day of the preceding term. Every effort will, however, be made to give not less than one term’s notice of alterations to the fees.
2. WITHDRAWAL AND NOTICE
a) Any parent accepting an offer of a place at the Academy will be a charged one term’s full fee if the pupil fails to take up the place.
The Director/Principal must be notifying not later than three days after the beginning of a term, before a pupil is withdrawn from the Academy. Failing such notice the full fees for the term following withdrawal will be charged.
c) The Academy may in its absolute discretion require a parent to remove a pupil from the Academy whose attendance, progress or behavior is unsatisfactory. In such circumstances the parent shall not be entitled to any refund of the fees due or already paid. Nor shall any refund be due for absence due to illness.
d) The Academy reserves the right to require a parent to remove a pupil from the Academy. If they knowingly fail to disclose important information about their Childs special educational, medical and social needs. Such information should be advised in writing at least four months before a student joins the School.

3. ATTENDANCE, DRESS AND BEHAVIOUR

a) The parent undertakes to ensure that the pupil attends Academy regularly throughout each term (dates of which will be published well in advance). All pupils are required to participate in all school subjects including games and other out of School activities.
b) The parent undertakes to ensure that the pupil conforms to such rules of appearance, dress and behavior as shall be issued by the Academy from time to time.
c) These undertakings apply equally to all pupils
4. MEDICAL
a) During a pupil’s time in the academy, the Academy Medical Officer shall have unlimited right to give the pupil’s parents or guardian, the Director/Head teacher or other senior member of the teaching staff such information as he thinks necessary in the pupil’s or the academy’s interests.
b) If a pupil requires special medical attention while at Academy, every effort will be made to obtain the prior consent of the parents or guardian. However, should this be impossible, the Academy will act “in loco parents” should consent be required for urgent treatment (including anaesthetic or operation) recommended by a doctor.

5. DATA PROTECTION

a) Parents/guardians accept a place at the school for their Child in the knowledge that data about pupils and their parents/guardians will be collected periodically, and stored and processed to allow for the efficient operation of the school. Some pupil data is passed to outside agencies for educational purposes.
b) Parents/guardians accepting a place at the Academy consent to the academy’s use of their child’s photograph, and other information relating to his achievements, for promotional purposes. Such information may be published in school literature, on the academy website or through other media with your permission

6. ADMISSIONS
Admission to New Hope Christian Academy is based upon a personal interview with parents, the application, test results, and other academic/spiritual input. (Tests will be for age 5 and above)

The intent of the interview is to examine spiritual/academic areas and to establish a clear understanding of how the parents, student, and school work together in the training and learning process.

It is essential that every family understands and clearly supports the academy philosophy, the biblical standards of the school.

Confirmation of acceptance will be given in writing, but only following a visit by the parents and child and the completion of the diagnostic test, this is most usually during the term or holiday before admission.

Acceptance deposit of half a term fee  is then required to secure the offered place.
After the interview, the registration form should be sent to the Academy, together with the registration fee of £50. Please note the registration and acceptance fee is not returnable and that the acceptance of registration does not constitute an offer of a place.
Parents will receive a written offer of a place in respect of their child subsequent to a satisfactory family interview and test (if applicable).
New Hope Christian Academy may contact the child’s previous school (with parental agreement) in order to discuss the student’s progress and to confirm that all financial matters (if applicable) have been satisfactorily resolved.
Parents must disclose with the academy before admission any feature of the child’s personality, physical and mental health that might affect his/her fitness for education and membership of the academy.
Failure to do this may result in the withdrawal of the offer of a place
